HAPPY 57th Birthday to the Merced SPCA!Our organization was established with the State of California on June 27, 1967, as the oversight agency for farm animal welfare in Merced County. Our Board of Directors was officially recognized under President William Quigley; Vice President Ken Sharp; Secretary Marge Bennett and Treasurer Ted Rench. Over the years, we’ve gone through many changes and we have become a well- recognized TNR and rescue agency in Merced and beyond! URGENT—Merced SPCA is desperately seeking a foster for a mom and 6 newborns. If we can’t find a foster, they’ll be sent to the shelter on 6/27/24. We want to prevent that if possible! All of our fosters are currently full. Mom is very friendly and will let you handle the kittens as well. She will do all of the work. She just needs a safe place for her and the littles. We will provide the supplies and any medical care for them that you may need to foster, including bottles and kitten milk, just in case you may need to provide bottle support. This would be for a couple of months, until the kittens reach 8 weeks old and can be transported to rescue.Please text Cindy at 209-201-1296 if you can foster. #animalrescue #nonprofit #volunteer #foster #urgent

Happy Father’s Day to all of our cat dads out there!We’re spending the day restocking our “fishcicle” supply and heading out to provide our colonies with a tasty treat. 😸Did you know that catsicles are an inexpensive way to make sure your colonies stay hydrated and enjoy a bit of extra protein? During the summer heat it’s important to make sure that cats have enough clean and fresh water. Make sure that you provide your furbabies with fresh water at least twice a day and add a few ice cubes to keep it colder, longer. 😎Well, off we go—- we have tons of treats to deliver today! #animalrescue #fathersday #volunteer #nonprofit
